Foudre and Wine Barrel Aged Sour Ale with Yellow Peaches

6.1% ABV

June Lady is a blend of a mixed culture sour amber aged in red wine barrels for 11 months then refermented with 3 lbs per gallon of Tenerelli farms June Lady varietal of yellow peaches. This was then blended with 40% of our 14 month aged 100% Brett foudre beer. We sourced these peaches direct from the farm and ripened and hand processed all the fruit, one crate at a time!

June Lady pours with a big hit of peach upfront with some subtle plum and hints of oak signifying the melange of barrels from which it aged. The flavor is strongly of peach with underlying notes of berries. A bit more tart than white peaches, the June Lady varietal does have a bit of acid to it which hits your palate more like a tartness than biting lactic and the beer remains very drinkable as a result.
